Stupendo antico altorilievo in gesso patinato, di forma ellittica, raffigurante la Deposizione di Cristo dalla croce, firmato in basso “E. Cassi”, attribuibile quindi con buona certezza allo scultore Enrico Cassi (Cuasso al Monte, 1863 – Milano, 1913) che tra le altre cose partecipò nel 1899 alla III Esposizione Internazionale d’arte di Venezia.
Quest’opera risale quindi alla seconda parte del 1800 o al massimo i primissimi anni del ‘900. L’altissima qualità e la bellezza e l’abbondanza dei dettagli ne fanno una stupenda aggiunta a qualsiasi collezione d’arte ottocentesca italiana.
Misure: 23×30 cm
L’ovale è dotato di gancio sul retro per essere appeso.
Condizioni di conservazione eccellenti, considerata l’età. Alcune minuscole scalfiture e mancanze visibili in foto.
L’opera verrà imballata con cura e inviata con spedizione tracciata.
In alternativa è possibile optare per il ritiro a mano in provincia di Verona.

An exceptional antique, oval high-relief sculpture made with lacquered plaster, depicting the Descent from the cross, signed in the lowest part “E. Cassi”. It’s therefore attributed to the Italian sculptor Enrico Cassi (Cuasso al Monte, 1863 – Milan, 1913) who in 1899 was invited to the Third International Art Exposition in Venice.
This sculpture can be dated back to the second part of the 19th Century or the first few years of the 20th. Its high quality and many beautiful details make for a stunning addition for any collection of 19th century Italian art.
